Easter 2014

We had a great Easter weekend. The girls and I went to Westlake High School to watch the community's production of "The Lamb of God." It reminded me of "The Savior of the World". We enjoyed it. They had a large choir, live orchestra, and several actors telling the story of the Savior's last week and the resurrection.

Saturday, the girls got sick, both with fevers. I did shopping for Easter dinner and Jeffrey and I packed the house some more. I had tickets to see the Mormon Tablernacle Choir and Orchestra perform Handel's 'Messiah' in Salt Lake. I was really excited to go, but decided not to when the girls' fevers continued.

The kids opened their Easter package from Grandma and we put together an Easter egg hunt for Malia. The older two wanted to have the hunt at the house, but it's in disarray from packing. We decided to hide her eggs at the meadow by the marina, not too far from the house. I had a chat with the Jeffrey and Brooklynn about how Malia doesn't have many more years with the 'magic of Easter and Christmas.' They had great attitudes and tried hard to make it fun for her!  I gave both the girls some ibuprofen and they felt well enough to have a decent time! Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

Can we start the Easter Egg Hunt yet?

Eggs hidden by the deer! The birds were flying around and chirping too!

My favorite picture of Suggie today. She has fun looking through the tall grass and in the trees and shrubs in the meadow.

A few hiding places

Enjoying a Cadbury Creme Egg!

How do you eat your Cadbury?
